In the heart of Detroit, Kintsugi Village is a gathering place built around a simple belief: we all need places where we feel welcome, connected and part of something. A place where people of all ages can come together to learn, create, share experiences and discover a deeper sense of belonging.
There are many ways into the Village. Children learn and grow in our early childhood education center. Artists create and inspire. Organizations gather for retreats and conversations. People connect through food and culinary experiences. And our Village Park brings learning, nature and community outdoors. Each pathway offers something different, but they all lead to the same place: connection.
At the heart of it all is the idea of Kintsugi — the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, making the resulting piece more beautiful. We believe life works much the same way. Every one of us has a story shaped by challenge, growth and possibility. Kintsugi Village is a place where those stories are welcomed and where everyday experiences can become Kintsugi moments — moments that leave us feeling a little more connected, inspired or transformed.

What began as a dream to build a place of creativity, connection, and learning in Detroit has now come to life. On a crisp fall day filled with joy, laughter, and music, we welcomed neighbors, families, and friends to experience the magic of Kintsugi Village for the very first time.
