At Kintsugi Village, we believe early childhood is a time for nurturing young minds and hearts. Our mission of compassion, unity, and purpose has led us to the beauty of the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
The Reggio Emilia philosophy centers around the core beliefs that children are capable, curious and active learners, which empowers them to thrive academically, emotionally and socially as they grow. Learning is hands-on and project-based; with the environment nourished and curated as a “third teacher.”
When we trust that children are capable, they develop socio-emotional skills crucial to personal and academic success later on, such as cooperation, conflict resolution, empathy and communication. Academic skills such as self-regulation, attention, self-discipline, working memory, pre-math, pre-literacy all thrive in a hands-on, child-led, active learning environment.

Programming
We operate year round with optional summer programming from June-August. After School Care is offered from 3:30-5:30 for an additional fee.

Enrollment
We welcome all qualified families, regardless of race, ability, nationality or religion. Children must be between 3 and 5 years old and fully potty trained. State law requires immunizations or an approved waiver.
Tuition
Every family’s schedule is different. That’s why Kintsugi Village School offers flexible scheduling to meet your needs.
Families can choose from 2, 3 or 5-day schedules with both half-day and full-day options, as well as aftercare. We also offer a proximity discount for nearby neighbors and proudly participate in the CDC program to help make care more accessible. We operate year round with optional summer programming from June-August with half-day and full-day options.

Financial Assistance
We offer two forms of financial support:
1.) Accessible tuition program for families who live in proximity to Kintsugi Village School.
2.) Support through The Child Development and Care (CDC) Program for families who need financial assistance.

CDC Financial Assistance
For many families, the cost of safe, quality child care can affect the family budget. The Child Development and Care (CDC) Program may offer payment assistance for child care services for families when the parent/caregiver is in need of financial assistance. To apply for financial assistance from the CDC, the Director of Kintsugi Village School will work with you to complete the DHS-4025. The parent/caregiver will submit the form to MDHHS.
Please note that Kintsugi Village School will not be listed as a verified provider until we open. But in the meantime, families can determine eligibility with the Eligibility Calculator and Income Eligibility Scale/Family Contribution.

When we open our doors this October, our teaching team will bring a mix of heart, expertise and creativity to the classroom. Each educator will have a strong foundation in early childhood education, with training rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach. We’re intentionally assembling a team that’s not just qualified on paper, but also deeply committed to nurturing curiosity, honoring each child’s voice and building something beautiful together.

Yes! When we open this fall, our culinary kitchen will prepare fresh, seasonal meals and snacks for the children. We’re committed to using wholesome ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible — and we’ll make food a hands-on experience, too. Kids will learn where food comes from, explore new tastes and even harvest herbs and vegetables from the garden and green house. It’s not just about eating well — it’s about connecting to the land, each other and the joy of sharing a meal.
